Welcome to the website for my Amateur Radio Station, operated from Edinburgh, Scotland, under the callsign MM0XDG.

A professional musician and school teacher by trade, I was first licenced for Amateur Radio in January 2007 at Foundation level as MM3RVG. This tier was followed two months later with the Intermediate Callsign, 2M0DAG. The Advanced United Kingdom Licence was marked with the issue of MM0XDG as my Callsign in June 2007. The Station steadily took shape during 2007 as this particular bug bit hard. The first radio, a Kenwood TS450S/AT was quickly superceded successively by a Yaesu FT-920, a Yaesu FT-1000MP Mark V and a Yaesu FT-2000 before an Icom 756 PRO 3 arrived in June 2008. I also use an Icom IC-706 MarkII, which additionally gives me 2m coverage and portable operations. Two full size G5RVs (North/South and East/West propogating) served me pretty well for the station's first ten months until, in October 2007, I installed a G3TPW CobWebb antenna on the roof about 70 feet above the ground. You can see this antenna here on this page, with the vertical for 2m & 70cm installed through its centre. The G5RVs remain for 40m and 80m. I hope that you enjoy visiting my website. Thank you for looking and I hope one day to work you on the bands.
